Emily D’Alimonte
| REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER | PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Emily comes with 13 years of experience in the field of Social Work. Classically trained in traditional “top down” approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emily found that talk therapy alone often did not create lasting change for her clients. As such, Emily expanded her training to include “bottom up” approaches in trauma and somatic therapy. Emily is advancing towards her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner designation through Somatic Experiencing International. Using a compassionate, body-based, and trauma-informed approach, Emily helps clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, regulate their nervous systems, and build tools for lasting change. Emily’s goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where clients can slow down, explore their inner experience, and begin to untangle patterns that no longer serve them. Together, Emily and her clients work toward greater ease, clarity, resilience, and meaningful connections in their lives.
Emily supports individuals aged 16 and up using a trauma-informed blend of body-based approaches, such as Somatic Experiencing, and traditional talk therapy. Emily supports individuals experiencing a variety of issues including but not limited to stress, relationship challenges, burnout, life transitions, emotional regulation, coping with anxiety and depression symptoms, and processing trauma.
