Brittany Lepera is a Registered Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including community agencies, schools, healthcare centres, and outpatient addiction treatment services. Her professional career began in 2009 as an Educational Assistant with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, where she developed a strong foundation in supporting children and families. Brittany brings a compassionate, approachable, and non-judgmental presence to the therapeutic relationship, creating a safe and inclusive space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly and authentically.

Brittany has worked with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns. She uses a person-centered and strengths-based approach to counselling, recognizing that each individual’s experiences, challenges, and goals are unique. Brittany believes in meeting clients where they are in their personal journey while helping them build resilience, strengthen coping strategies, and create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. Clients often describe her as empathetic, energetic, and easy to connect with.

Brittany’s educational background includes an Honours Bachelor of Social Work, a diploma in Child and Youth Work, and Early Childhood Education. She earned her Master of Social Work degree in 2016 and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as the College of Early Childhood Educators.

There are a variety of evidence-based modalities that Brittany incorporates into her therapeutic practice, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment therapy, brief narrative therapy, anger management intervention, and mindfulness-based therapy. These approaches allow clients to better understand themselves, develop healthier patterns, and work toward positive outcomes in their daily lives and relationships.

Some areas of passion include supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional regulation difficulties, and family or relationship challenges. Brittany also has experience helping parents and caregivers strengthen family connections and navigate behavioural concerns with confidence and support.

Brittany has completed specialized training in harm reduction, non-violent crisis intervention, Circle of Security, the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Behaviour Management Systems, and brief focused counselling skills and strategies. Her collaborative and compassionate approach empowers clients to feel heard, supported, and capable of moving forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.
